Travel Info

Jekyll Island is one of Georgia’s Golden Isles. Located on southeast Georgia’s Atlantic coast. The entire island is a Georgia State Park. Most people drive to the island or fly, rent a car and drive to the island.  It is possible to take a train or a bus into Brunswick, GA, which is a 20 minute drive from the island.

Fly into Brunswick, GA

We are located 30 minutes south of Brunswick Golden Isles Airport.

Fly into Jacksonville, FL

We are an hour’s drive north on I-95 (GA exit 29) from Jacksonville International Airport.

Driving Directions

Take I-95 North or South, depending on your starting point.

From I-95 exit 29:

  • Take US 17 North (towards the coast) for 5.6 miles
  • Turn right onto Jekyll Island Causeway (GA 520). There’s a sign for Jekyll Island, and it is just before the big bridge.
  • Follow the causeway for 6.6 miles. It will end at a roundabout.
    • While on the causeway, before you cross onto the island, you will pass through a fee station. Current rates:
      • Daily: $6 ($10 for oversized vehicles – over 8 feet tall)
      • Weekly: $28
  • Go left by turning right onto the roundabout and circling around to the 3rd exit: N. Beachview Dr.
  • Follow N. Beachview for 2.1 miles and then turn right onto Nelson Lane (King is the street just before it)
